Despite the national lockdown, the school remains OPEN for full boarders and key worker children, with other students following our successful online learning programme from home. We are still welcoming applications from students of all ages. Click here for scholarship information.
Our days are action-packed in Nursery and Pre-Prep. Here’s a taster of some of the things we get up to in the Early Years classrooms.
Nursery children enjoyed an Ugly Bug Ball themed day. They came dressed up in some wonderful bug costumes and had a great day baking and decorating bug cakes; swimming; sponge printing bugs and a great session of dance with Ms Coates. They learned a dance themed to ‘The very hungry caterpillar’, moving their bodies in different ways to music to act the story out. We had a lot of fun with the class and as you can see, the children enjoyed themselves.
In Reception, we are practising our writing using flashcards and marker pens to write out what we can see and say. The children are making fantastic progress and their writing confidence is growing. Even when the activity was over they wanted to carry on.
Children in Year 2 have been working on their division skills, using lots of different objects to see how many ways then can divide the number 30 into equal groups. Not only did they practise their maths but they had to employ teamwork and diplomacy skills!
