Creativity at its finest! On Saturday 18th January we welcomed 44 gifted writers and artists from South Molton Community College and The Park Community School to join with our own to embark upon a workshop exploring the theme of ‘the unknown’.
We discussed famous literary texts associated with the theme and watched animations to help shape some creative writing for character and setting. After this, the students started to generate ideas for their own character or focus of their chosen form: poetry, prose or non-fiction.
The next session is on Saturday 22nd February where we will be looking at different illustration and artistic skills with children’s book illustrator, Joseph Witchall.
