Head of middle School Maternity
Overview
The Head of Middle School is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and as such is responsible to the Deputy Head Academic and Deputy Head Pastoral for the progress and outcomes of pupils in Year 7-11. The Head of Middle School is supported by the Housemasters and Housemistresses but has overall responsibility for the good progress of all pupils.
The SLT, comprising Head, Prep Head, Deputy Head Academic, Deputy Head Pastoral, Bursar, Asst Head- Head of Sixth Form, Head of Middle School, Prep Deputy Head, Asst Head – Pupil Development, Head of Boarding, Asst Head – Operations & Opportunities, Director of Digital Innovations & Systems, Director of External Relations, who are responsible for forming and realisation of the school’s vision and strategy. We meet every week to consider, cooperatively, the school’s strategy and all SLT will be expected to lead and contribute to strategic discussion.

The Appointment
The vacancy is a full-time position to commence January 2024 and is up to 1 year. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the wider life of the school and its community; this will be discussed at interview.

The Interview
Interviews will be offered in the week of 9th October
Candidates invited for interview will be shown around the school by the Deputy Head Academic and there will be an opportunity to meet other members of staff and to see the school at work. Candidates will be required to teach a lesson whilst being observed. Details of this will be discussed with the candidates some days beforehand. There will be a series of interviews with the Head and other members of the Senior Team.
