πΊLast Post Ceremony Honour for Students
We are incredibly proud of William SW, Thomas B, River P, Mason O and Scarlett N, who recently travelled to Belgium with the Devon Youth Wind Orchestra and had the huge honour of playing at the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate.
Held every evening since 1928, the ceremony honours the soldiers of the former British Empire and its allies, who died in the Ypres Salient during the First World War. The orchestra tour also included two further concerts in historic parts of Belgium.
The students played beautifully and were impeccably behaved throughout, a true credit to the school. A wonderful, unforgettable experience - well done to all involved!
