I joined West Buckland School for the Sixth Form and have enjoyed all the opportunities this school has to offer. I am studying Biology, Psychology and Chemistry for my A levels and working on an EPQ on antibiotic resistance. Joining the Charities Committee to raise money for a different charity each year, attending Phoenix Society to get involved in interesting debates, and completing the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award are just some of the activities I have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in. I was also lucky enough to join the 2024 trip to Kenya to visit our partner school, Agoro Oyombe. I have found that West Buckland School has supported me well, especially when it came to university choices and courses. As an academic scholar, I have found the extracurricular academic events offered here to be fulfilling and very beneficial, such as Aldiss Society. Becoming joint leader of the Medical Society here at West Buckland and becoming one of the Heads of the Academic Extension Pillar has allowed me to develop my personal skills and engage with other students from all different years, sharing ideas and discussing different subjects. I have found that studying at West Buckland School is a great experience, with lots of support and endless opportunities to dive into.
