As Head of History, I want to instil in my students the fact that history is essential in knowing about the present. Without a knowledge of the past, we have no idea why the world is the way it is today. History also provides us with warnings of what not to do in the present. Finally, I try to instil a sense of curiosity in my students, encouraging them to seek out interesting topics and to think for themselves.
As well as my history role, I am the Housemaster of the Grenville and co-ordinator of the Humanities and Social Science Society. Alongside this, I am also the supervisor of the Aldiss Academics Society and teacher representative of the Phoenix Debating Society.
Outside school, I love reading, cooking, getting out into the countryside, paddle-boarding and the gym.
