Lady Elizabeth Gass, DCVO, JP

Following her graduation from the University of Cambridge, Lady Gass worked a teacher of mathematics. from 1985 to 1997 she served as a Conservative Party Councillor on Somerset County Council and from 1989 to 1993 she was Chairman of the Exmoor National Park Committee, She was later appointed as a Justice of the Peace and in 1998 she was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, a position she held until 2015.
