Our purpose-built Personalised Learning and Development Hub offers professional group and individual support for students needing extra help with their learning or those needing emotional and social support.
Our Personalised Learning department believes that our brains are constantly changing, a state known as ‘neuroplasticity’ and that new pathways can always be developed and altered. With his approach, we are able to help children to develop their own ways of learning and to teach techniques to assist them.
We offer Language for Life classes for small groups of pupils in Years 7 to 9 where students focus on consolidating literacy and study skills.
Learning Support lessons for Years 10 and 11 continue to focus on literacy and numeracy skills, but also give opportunities for students to have extra time to work on their GCSE studies and, as exams approach, access support with revision and exam strategies.
A supervised prep or homework club runs every evening which ANY student can access – it is open to all, there is always a friendly face to greet you and we are happy when pupils just pop in for a chat.
We also offer 1:1 sessions for pupils who require a little extra support. These sessions are individually tailored but tend to focus on the acquisition of literacy and/or numeracy skills.
These carry an extra cost of £200 per term. For this the student will receive one 1:1 lesson per week.

In addition, we run breaktime Lego clubs and all children are welcome to come and have some quiet time in our chill-out areas.
