A thank you from Ukraine

I was fortunate enough to visit West Buckland School and see it with my own eyes. My daughter showed it to me, and it is truly an amazing place surrounded by greenery and fields, far from the city and noise. Finding herself at a school in another country, far from home due to the war in Ukraine, was not easy for her. However, her desire to learn was immense. A new world opened up for her, and thanks to the support and attention of the teachers and educators, my daughter managed to achieve the main goal we all strived for and continue to pursue.

The school grounds are expansive, featuring a beautiful garden where various flowers and plants grow, including lettuce! Inside the school, there are modern, cosy rooms equipped with everything necessary for living and studying. My daughter felt comfortable being there. The library is excellent, offering a range of books where one can find favourite reads or discover new ones. The dining room is a delightful place where students can enjoy lunch, fruit, and see almost all their schoolmates.

Thank you very much to the teachers for your inspiration and patience. You make lessons interesting, inspire children to study, and give them the opportunity to grow and develop. Your energy makes learning fun and exciting. Over these two years, my daughter has opened up and changed so much! She often called and eagerly talked about her favourite subjects and teachers in geography, history, and business. This is the best place my daughter has ever attended! The impact of the school on my child’s life is unmatched. You do an incredible job, and my family and I are so grateful. We wish you success, prosperity for the school, and all the best!
