Year 11 and Year 13 had their last day of term today.
Year 13 Leavers brunch
Year 13 had their last school day at West Buckland today. It’s been such a challenging year and they have coped incredibly well. Between lockdowns, quarantines, exam insecurity and homesickness, they have rallied together as a wonderful community and long-lasting friendships have been made. The school community are sad to see them go and wish them all the very best for the next steps on the journey. Please stay in touch and keep us informed of what you are up to. Remember, the OWBA also want to hear your news and will help you if they can.
After an full English, pancakes and pastries, washed down with bubbles and Buck’s Fizz, it was outside for bubble football. Good luck Year 13!

Today was the last day of Year 11 exams so after the final exam finished, the year group took to the field for some celebratory sumo wrestling, bouncy castle races and rounders. Well done Year 11: it’s been a challenging year and you’ve faced it with incredible resilience. We look forward to welcoming most of you back in Year 12 and for those of you going on somewhere else, we wish you the best of luck and hope that you will stay in touch.

Ciaran Maunder signs his artwork
West Buckland School commissioned an illustration of the school and Ciaran Maunder was chosen to create the artwork. The Bursar loved the picture so we had a giant version printed for his wall and today Ciaran came in to see it in situ and to sign it. Everyone who sees it comments on how incredibly detailed it is and we are pleased that it forms part of Ciaran’s portfolio. Good luck Ciaran with your plans for a career in art.
