We understand how important a healthy and exciting diet is for growing, active young tummies and, as such, our excellent food is provided by independent school caterers Holroyd Howe. With the help of their nutritionists and highly trained chefs, our menus cater for all tastes and requirements to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters!
Primarily for our boarders, breakfast offers a smorgasbord of hot and cold foods, with numerous healthy options. Students can choose nutritious juices and smoothies, pastries, bacon and eggs and porridge, as well as daily specials to keep them guessing!Example Breakfast Menu
Catering for all age groups from 3 to 18 can be tricky but we think we have it covered. A variety of hot meals, a salad bar, soup and bread, pasta bar and delicious puddings are available every day. We do our utmost to cater for special dietary needs and are happy to discuss these in person prior to a child starting at the school.
Lunch is offered in three sittings, with the Nursery and Prep School eating at 12 noon, Years 7 to 9 at 12.45 and the older years having their lunch at 13.15.Example Lunch Menu
Tea is provided at 17.30 and day children who are staying late at school for a particular function can be booked in for tea at any time. Regular and flexi boarders will automatically be entitled to tea, which offers a range of hot and cold main courses and puddings.Example Tea Menu
We are passionate about food and are keen that others are too. As such, we regularly hold cooking demonstrations, themed dinners and lessons to the upper years, to prepare them for a future beyond the trusty baked potato!
We are also delighted to be involved in OWBA reunion dinners, team teas and other West Buckland community gatherings.
