Funding Made Simple
Parents can access up to 30 hours of Early Years funding each week, and we accept Early Years Education Entitlement (EYEE) funding. For full details, visit Gov.uk.

Forest School and outdoor exploration sit at the heart of our offering, inspiring curiosity, resilience, and a love of the natural world.
Curriculum
West Buckland School nursery follows the EYFS curriculum. Rooted in exploration and imagination, it nurtures early skills in communication, physical development, and personal growth through hands-on experiences that feel more like adventures than lessons.
Let’s Swim!
Our Nursery students enjoy one swimming lesson each week in our on-site heated pool, helping them build water confidence and develop early swimming skills in a safe, nurturing environment.
Music Magic
Nursery students enjoy engaging Music lessons led by our Prep Director of Music, where they explore rhythm, movement, and a variety of instruments. These early musical experiences help build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
We are Active!
Nursery students take part in specialist PE lessons taught by expert staff from across our prep and senior schools.
A Flourishing Community
Nursery students have access to our outstanding school facilities, including specialist art spaces, PE areas, and much more. This helps make the transition to ‘big school’ feel comfortable and less overwhelming when the time comes.
The Performing Arts
Nursery students develop their drama and dance skills with specialist teachers, including a dedicated dance lesson led by our senior school dance teacher, who is also a professional ballerina.
Language Development
Children are guided to develop strong language skills and the confidence to communicate their needs and ideas. They also enjoy their first steps in learning French.
Bringing Learning to Life!
We enjoy welcoming visitors from the community, such as paramedics, farmers, vets, dentists and animals with their owners, helping to broaden the children’s experiences.
