Your Path to joining us
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to join and recommend that you take the following steps to help you decide whether West Buckland is the place for you.

We hold at least two live Open Days per year which are a great opportunity to get a feel for the school, tour our lovely campus and meet our staff and students. We also hold a number of ‘virtual’ Open Days for those further afield.
If you are unable to attend our Open Days, we would be more than happy to arrange a bespoke tour of the school at your convenience. Please contact our admissions team at [email protected] to arrange.
Registering Your Child
Thank you for considering registration with us. By completing the registration process, you express your interest in proceeding with the necessary arrangements for entry. Once registered, we will reach out to you to coordinate the Entrance Assessment.

Entrance Requirements
Children joining us from the Prep school do not have to sit an entrance assessment to gain entry to the Senior school.
Year 7: Children looking to join West Buckland School in Year 7 will need to undertake a standardised Entrance Assessment, which covers Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning. This is largely just for setting purposes and children should not feel anxious.
For entry in September 2023, we invite families to book in an appointment to come and sit the assessment in school, at their convenience. Children of families who live far away or overseas can do the assessment in their current school under supervision.

Contact Admissions
Years 8 to 10: we welcome applications from pupils in Years 8 to 10. Pupils will be asked to complete assessments in Maths and English and this can be arranged at a convenient time.

Hopefully, we will then be in a position to offer your child a place and will then guide you through the process leading up to their joining us.
