We are so lucky to sit on an idyllic site on the edge of Exmoor. Our pupils have access to nearly 100 acres of green space in which to learn, play and explore. This really is a school where children are allowed to be children for longer and they can explore deeply, discover their passion and be their authentic self.

🎄✨🎄 We are at The South Molton Christmas Tree Festival!
We’re excited to be part of this year’s festival at St Mary Magdalene Church. Preparation has been a whole school community effort and we`ve loved every part!
🎄Our “Read & Reap” tree, created by Mrs Burge of Fuss Pots and trimmed with books from our library, features wooden decorations shaped and printed by our DT team and students using the school’s laser cutter, then hand‑finished by our Prep students.
🎄Our West Buckland Preparatory School tree was kindly donated by a parent and decorated with recycled and repurposed objects made by our Prep students - all in the school spirit of sustainability, which is at the heart of all we do!
This year’s festival features 108 enchanting trees, live music and more, and runs from Thursday 4 – Monday 8 of December (10am–4pm daily, Sunday 12–4pm).

🎨 West Buckland School`s Collaborative Drawing - The Big Draw Festival
Creativity was in full flow as students and staff came together for West Buckland School’s collaborative drawing project, inspired by the works of Diana Sudyka.
With a sheet of card and a stamp, each participant added their own unique touch to this collective masterpiece.
Ms Argyle and Mrs Morrison prepared a long strip of paper with a continuous line stretching from left to right (representing the thread that links the WBS community together), before positioning drawings along the line.
✨ A big thank you to everyone who got involved! It`s so humbling to see a community work together to present such a great piece of art.
